The "inorganic diffusion plate" sold by Dexerials is primarily used as a component to diffuse the light from laser light sources in projectors. One of the significant technological innovations that has occurred in projectors in recent years is the transition of the light source from mercury lamps to laser light. Instead, lasers are increasingly being used as the light source for projectors. As can be seen with laser pointers, laser light is highly directional and does not spread much on its own. This is in stark contrast to the light from mercury lamps, which naturally spreads in all directions, so it is necessary to diffuse the light for use as a projector light source. To achieve this, "diffusion plates," including our products, are used.
